1. Material options: Zirconium oxide ceramics, 95~99.5% alumina,
Silicon carbide (SiC), Silicon carbide
2. Forming method: Cold ISO pressing, Dry pressed, Ceramic injection molding with dense ceramic body
3. Specification: Available outer from 0.5mm to 50mm, available
length from 3mm to 2000mm
4. Tolerance A: Diameter below 12.5mm, tolerance ± 3% or ± 0.076 mm, whichever is greater.
Straightness: camber / length < 0.003
5. Tolerance B: Diameter above 12.5mm, tolerance ± 5% or ± 0.76 mm,
whichever is greater. Straightness: ≤ 0.006″/1.000″ cumulative
6. Surface finish: the working surface to be diamond polished up to
Ra0.1, or better
Prime features of zirconia ceramic rods:
1. High hardness, over than 1300 MPa for Vicker
2. Can withstand higher temperatures up to 2400°
3. Exceptional fracture toughness reaches up to 8 Mpa m1/2
4. Higher density than most of technical ceramics, over than 6 g/cm3
5. Low thermal conductivity, less than 3 W/m.k at room temperature
6. Chemical inertness, not interact with almost all strong acid and
alkali
7. Resistance to molten metals due to an extraordinary melting
point

Description of zirconia ceramic rods:
Our facility manufactures a wide range of zirconia ceramic rod
shafts by cold ISO pressing, dry pressing or ceramic injection
molding. All these zirconia ceramic rods are with a dense ceramic
body. In order to reduce the friction further, the cylindrical
surface will be polished to be a mirror effect.
We have been dealing with various standard and customized zirconia
ceramic rods, including the dimensions, different grades of
zirconia, different shapes, different surface treatments and so on.
Application of zirconia ceramic rods:
Zirconia ceramic rod/bar is used in the shaft, plunger, automobile
Industrial, sealing structure, oil drilling equipment, Insulation
parts in electrical equipment, electronic engineering, industrial
machinery, and ceramic hair clipper spare parts, with high density,
bending strength and breaking tenacity.
